Orthobiologic Injections

The broad field of injectable therapies focuses on stimulating healing in injured tissue and recruiting the body's self-repair cells.

About This Research Area

Orthobiologic injections offer a powerful non-operative approach to joint injuries. SRF is leading a head-to-head study to determine which of these therapies offers the most effective and lasting relief from joint pain and inflammation.

Research Currently Underway

Our research program is actively investigating new biologic solutions for joint restoration.

Areas of Investigation

Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP)

Concentrated growth factors from the patient’s own blood to accelerate tissue repair.

Sources Mesenchymal Stromal Cells (MSCs)

MSCs are quasi-stem cells that are naturally found in the bone marrow and adipose tissue (fat tissue).
