Training the Next Generation
Education
Research is a powerful tool for enacting change through education. We are committed to expanding educational opportunities from a local to a global scale—training the next generation of pioneers in arthritis research.
Mentoring Future Leaders in Orthopaedic Science
From our universally accessible and innovative surgical technique videos to our internship program designed to mentor students with a unique range of academic and personal backgrounds, we strive to provide opportunities to diversify the field of research through education and innovation.
The Stone Research Foundation and The Stone Clinic host US and international MDs, visiting scientists, medical and nursing students, and graduate and undergraduate students to provide comprehensive exposure to the techniques and methods that we have researched, developed, and continue to improve.

Meniscus Transplant Study Group
MTSG
Founded 1986 • Dr. Kevin Stone, Founding Member
The Meniscus Cartilage Transplantation Study Group (MTSG) was formed in 1986 by a combination of orthopaedic surgeons, veterinary surgeons, and scientists to help promote the science of meniscus cartilage transplantation and to evaluate its transfer from basic science research to clinical practice.
The Stone Research Foundation is a driving force behind the MTSG—hosting, facilitating, and funding the meeting held in conjunction with the annual meeting of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS). The group has now expanded to include the European Meniscal Transplantation Group (EMTG).
